Data coverage: how complete each field is
Across the planned, operating and data center tables of the FieldProspects database, field completeness runs from 100% for capacity in the operating plants table to 7.2% for capital expenditure in the data centers table. A developer is attributed to 50.8% of planned projects and 7.6% of operating ones.

Coverage is the share of rows in a table that have a value in a field. It is counted on the same normalized rows the rest of this site uses, and entries such as unknown or to be determined count as missing. Nothing on this page is estimated or filled in.
Every count on this site leaves some source rows out. 279 planned rows have no usable project name (some queues list entries only as unnamed), 237 have no US state, and 5 repeat another row. 2,675 rows that grid operator queues mark as operating are also left out, because they restate plants Form EIA-860M already lists. The raw tables are that much larger than the counts shown here.
The field to watch is developer. A developer is attributed to 50.8% of planned projects (4,095 of 8,057) and 7.6% of operating ones (2,167 of 28,423). Across all 36,480 projects that is 17.2%. Any developer ranking is a ranking of attributed projects only, and every ranking on this site says so beside the table.
Location splits the other way. Operating rows have coordinates in 100% of cases, planned rows in 28.9%. Among planned projects, the interconnection agreement is stated for 45.6% and the under-construction flag for 14.1%, so those two fields describe only part of the pipeline. A blank means not stated, never no.

| At least one data center | 13 | 1.2% |
| At least one contact on file | 296 | 27.6% |
296 of 1,074 profiles have at least one contact on file. The contacts table itself holds people at companies that do not all have a developer profile.
What is a coverage rate?
A coverage rate is the share of rows in a table where a given field has a value. A rate of 50.8% for developer means that about half of the rows name one and the other half name none.
